This hand-carved Baal statue depicts the Canaanite storm god as a warrior-king — standing before a backdrop of storm clouds and lightning, wearing a conical horned helmet and armoured tunic, spear raised in his right hand. Available in two finishes: natural varnish with a warm honey tone, and ecological oil with a deeper antiqued appearance. Standing 8 inches tall, each piece is individually carved in Ukraine from solid ash wood.

Baʿal Hadad — "Lord of the Storm" — was the supreme deity of the Canaanite and Phoenician pantheons, the god of rain, thunder, fertility, and the cycle of seasons. Without his storms, the crops failed and the land died; with them, life returned. He was the great champion of the gods, who defeated the sea-god Yam and the death-god Mot in the great cosmic battles recorded in the Ugaritic texts — myths that predate and likely influenced the later Biblical narratives. His worship spread across the ancient Levant, Mesopotamia, and North Africa, and his name appears throughout the Hebrew Bible as the rival of Yahweh — the god the Israelites were perpetually tempted to follow. In later Western occult tradition he was absorbed into demonology as one of the great kings of the Mesopotamian and Sumerian god statues tradition, and appears in the Ars Goetia as Baʿal — a demon of power and invisibility — making him a figure of enduring fascination across both ancient religion and occult and demon statue collections.
