In the mythology of the Norse, the spider is no ordinary creature. The three Norns — Urðr, Verðandi, and Skuld — sit at the roots of Yggdrasil, the World Tree, spinning and cutting the threads of every life that has ever existed. Odin himself is said to have drawn the first runes from the patterns of a spider’s web. Across Greek, Roman, Vedic, and Celtic traditions, the spider carries the same weight: the weaver of fate, the keeper of cosmic order, the creature that holds the threads of life and death in its eight patient legs. This hand-carved Norse Pagan Spider sculpture — part of our Norse statues collection — captures that ancient power in ecological ash wood, carved by hand in Ukraine and finished with lacquer.
Each piece is individually carved, making every spider a unique original. A striking totem for any altar, shelf, or desk — and a deeply meaningful piece for those drawn to the mysteries of the Sacred Northern Totems.
