In Norse mythology, Ratatoskr is the red squirrel who races endlessly up and down Yggdrasil — the great World Tree — carrying messages between the eagle perched at its crown and the serpent Níðhöggr gnawing at its roots. He is a creature of perpetual motion, sharp wit, and cosmic mischief; a trickster spirit who keeps the tension of the universe alive. This hand-carved Ratatoskr statue captures that restless, quicksilver energy in warm ecological ash wood, finished with a smooth varnish that honours the natural grain.
Each piece is individually carved by hand, making every statue a one-of-a-kind original — no two are exactly alike in texture or tone.
