This hand-carved IxCacao statue depicts the Mayan goddess of the cacao tree in a serene, upright form — her figure rising from a carved base, robes flowing, the quiet authority of an agricultural deity who sustained both body and spirit. Carved from solid ash wood and finished with varnish, the piece captures the warmth and earthiness of a goddess whose gift to humanity was chocolate itself. Available in brown and brown with gold finishes, each statue is individually carved in Ukraine.

IxCacao — also known as Ixcacao or the Cacao Goddess — is one of the most beloved deities of the ancient Maya. She presided over the cacao tree, the source of the sacred drink that flowed at royal courts, ritual ceremonies, and offerings to the gods. Cacao was not merely food in Mesoamerican culture: it was divine currency, a gift from the gods, and a bridge between the human and sacred worlds. IxCacao was invoked alongside other agricultural deities at planting and harvest, and her blessing was sought by farmers, traders, and anyone who depended on the abundance of the earth. She is a natural centrepiece for any altar dedicated to the Mexican heritage and Aztec mythology statue collection, representing the deep Mayan understanding that nourishment is sacred — that the earth’s gifts are not taken but received.
