This hand-carved Satan statue depicts the fallen angel in his most iconic form — wings spread in a vast sunburst halo, occult medallions flanking his body, flames rising at his feet, and his name carved into the plinth. Available in two finishes: natural Brown varnished ash wood and a darker antiqued Colored variant. Standing 8 inches tall, each piece is individually carved in Ukraine from solid ash wood.
Satan — from the Hebrew ha-satan, meaning "the adversary" — is one of the most complex and contested figures in the Abrahamic traditions. In early Hebrew scripture he appears as a prosecuting angel in the divine court; in Christianity he becomes the rebel cast from heaven, the prince of darkness who tempted humanity in the garden. In Islam he is Iblis, a jinn who refused to bow before Adam and was expelled for his pride. But it is in the Western occult tradition that his image reaches its fullest power: across the demon and fallen angel statues of ceremonial magic, he is Lucifer the light-bringer, the morning star, the symbol of enlightenment through defiance. John Milton’s Paradise Lost gave him the grandeur of a tragic hero — “Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven” — and that image of sovereign, unbroken will has defined him in art and occult practice ever since. In Luciferianism and left-hand path traditions he is not a figure of evil but of liberation, self-mastery, and the pursuit of forbidden knowledge — a natural companion to the figures of the Ars Goetia.
