This hand-carved Marchosias statue depicts the Grand Marquis of Hell in his fearsome true form — a wolf with great griffin wings, a serpent's tail, and fire spewing from his jaws. Every detail is carved from solid ash wood: the muscular wolf body, the spread feathered wings, the coiled tail. The surface is finished with varnish to bring out the warm grain of the wood, and the piece stands as both a striking occult sculpture and a powerful focal point for any ritual altar or esoteric collection.
Marchosias is the 35th spirit of the Ars Goetia demon collection, a Grand Marquis who commands thirty legions of spirits. In the Lesser Key of Solomon, he appears as a wolf with griffin wings and a serpent's tail breathing fire — but at the conjurer's request, he takes human form. He is counted among the most faithful of the Goetic spirits: a strong fighter who gives true answers to all questions and executes commands with absolute loyalty. Before his fall, Marchosias belonged to the Order of Angels and harboured hope of returning to the seventh throne after 1,200 years — a detail that sets him apart from the rest of the demon statue collection as a figure of both power and tragic ambition.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size is the Marchosias statue and what material is it made from?
The Marchosias statue is hand-carved from solid ash wood and finished with varnish. It stands 8 in / 20.5 cm tall, 4.9 in / 12.5 cm wide, and 1.5 in / 3.9 cm deep. Each piece is individually carved in Ukraine, so minor variations in grain and tone are natural.
Who is Marchosias in the Ars Goetia and what powers does he have?
Marchosias is the 35th spirit of the Ars Goetia, ranked as a Grand Marquis of Hell commanding thirty legions of demons. He appears as a wolf with griffin wings and a serpent's tail breathing fire, but takes human form at the conjurer's request. He is known as a strong fighter who gives truthful answers and is exceptionally faithful in carrying out commands. Uniquely among the Goetic spirits, he was once of the Order of Angels and reportedly hoped to return to the seventh throne after 1,200 years.
Does the Marchosias statue include his sigil, and can it be used in ritual work?
Yes — the Marchosias sigil is carved directly into the medallion at the base of the statue, making it a functional ritual object as well as a decorative piece. It can serve as a focal point for evocation, altar work, or meditation on Goetic practice. The sigil is rendered in detail on both the multicolor and brown variants.
