Collection: Yule Winter Solstice Collection

Yule is the winter solstice — the longest night, when darkness reaches its peak and the returning light is born anew. It is a time of stillness, ancestral memory, and the quiet promise of the sun's return. This collection gathers hand-carved ash wood statues of the Norse gods, goddesses, and sacred figures who preside over the deep midwinter.

Odin is the undisputed ruler of Yule — the wandering Allfather who rides through the winter sky, the original gift-bringer, the god of wisdom and the wild hunt. He appears here in four statues and two wall plaques, each carved to honour a different face of his vast mythology. Frigg, his wife and queen of Asgard, brings the warmth of the hearth and the protection of the home through the dark season. Frau Holle, the Germanic winter goddess of snow and the domestic arts, is one of Yule's most ancient presences. Skadi, the Norse goddess of winter, hunting, and the mountains, embodies the fierce beauty of the cold season. Ullr, god of the hunt and winter sport, honours the Norse tradition of the long dark months. The Norns — the weavers of fate — are especially potent at the solstice, when the year turns and destiny is renewed. Sleipnir, Odin's eight-legged horse, carries the Allfather across the winter sky. The Holly King marks the solstice moment itself — the dark king who reigns until the light returns. And Freyr, god of sunshine and fertility, holds the promise of the returning warmth.
