Anu in Mesopotamian Mythology

Anu is associated with the sky, divine kingship, and the authority of the gods. His Sumerian name, An, means sky or heaven. Rather than presenting him as a judge of the dead, this sculpture celebrates his better-established connection with the celestial realm and his senior position in Mesopotamian religious tradition.

Ideal For

Place Anu beside books on ancient history or use the statue as a symbolic focal point in a space for reflection. The natural wood grain complements a display of mythology-inspired art. A thoughtful gift for collectors interested in Sumer, Mesopotamia, and the ancient Near East.

Natural wood grain and color vary between pieces. Screen settings may also affect how the finish appears.
