How to Set Up a Mabon Altar
A Mabon altar should feel rich, earthy, and abundant with the colours of autumn. Use a deep red, orange, or brown cloth as your base. Place fallen leaves, acorns, pine cones, and seasonal fruits — apples, pomegranates, grapes — around your altar space. Deep red, orange, and gold candles honour the turning season. Place your autumn deity statue at the centre as the focal point. Offerings of wine, cider, or the last fruits of the harvest are traditional at Mabon. Light your candles at dusk on the equinox evening.
