This hand-carved wooden statue honours his towering presence, shaped from our Mesopotamian & Sumerian god statue collection in ecological ash wood with a varnish finish.

Each piece is individually crafted — no two are identical. Available in two finishes: natural brown or multicolor, each bringing a distinct character to this ancient deity.

Marduk in Mesopotamian Mythology

• Origin: Marduk rose to prominence in ancient Babylon, eventually becoming the chief deity of the Babylonian pantheon and patron god of the city of Babylon itself.
• Appearance: Depicted as a majestic figure associated with the spade, the dragon Mušḫuššu, and the planet Jupiter — symbols of sovereignty and divine authority.
• Role: In the Enuma Elish, the Babylonian creation epic, Marduk defeats the chaos dragon Tiamat and uses her body to create the heavens and the earth.
• Legends: He was credited with establishing order from primordial chaos, creating humanity from the blood of the slain god Kingu to serve the gods.
• Symbolism: Marduk embodies supreme power, cosmic order, wisdom, and the triumph of civilisation over chaos.
