Frequently Asked Questions

Are Hecate statues hand-carved or mass-produced?

Every Hecate statue in this collection is individually hand-carved from sustainable ash wood in our workshop in Ukraine. No two pieces are identical — each carries its own natural grain and character, making it a truly unique sculpture for your altar or collection.

Who is Hecate and what does she represent?

Hecate is the ancient Greek goddess of magic, crossroads, and the moon. She is depicted in triple form — representing the waxing, full, and waning moon — and is one of the most powerful liminal deities in Greek mythology. In modern Wicca and pagan practice, she is honoured as the crone aspect of the triple goddess, a guardian of thresholds, and a guide through transformation and shadow work.

When and how is a Hecate statue used on an altar?

A Hecate statue is traditionally placed at the centre of a pagan or Wiccan altar for spellwork, moon rituals, and shadow work. She is especially powerful during the dark moon and at Samhain — the Celtic new year when the veil between worlds is thinnest. Her statue can also be placed near a doorway or threshold to invoke her protection and guidance at life's crossroads.
