Apollo is the god the Greeks turned to when they needed truth — at Delphi, in music, in the light that makes things visible. This hand-carved ash wood statue captures him in the full radiance of his domain: god of the sun, of poetry, of prophecy, of healing, and of the order that beauty imposes on chaos. Each piece is individually carved and finished with varnish by skilled artisans in Ukraine; no two are identical.
Apollo — God of Light, Music & the Oracle
Apollo is one of the most complex deities in the Greek pantheon — a god of apparent contradictions who holds them together with perfect composure. He is the god of the sun and of reason, but also of poetry and music, which operate by a logic that reason alone cannot explain. He is the god of healing and of plague, capable of sending both with equal precision. He is the god of prophecy, whose oracle at Delphi was consulted by kings and generals for a thousand years, and whose answers were always true and never simple.
In the tradition of the Greek gods, Apollo represents the principle that excellence — in art, in thought, in action — is itself a form of devotion. The Delphic maxim “know thyself” was inscribed at his temple not as a philosophical exercise but as a warning: the oracle could only speak truth to those who were honest enough to hear it. He is the god who rewards clarity and punishes self-deception, which makes him one of the most demanding deities to work with — and one of the most rewarding.

Those who find meaning in the pursuit of excellence and truth — Apollo, whose mythology spans from the slaying of Python to the tragedy of Cassandra, is the god who understands that truth is both a gift and a burden. Frequently Asked Questions
What size is the Apollo statue and what material is it made from?
The Apollo statue is hand-carved from ecological ash wood with a varnish finish. It measures 8 in / 20.3 cm tall, 3.5 in / 8.9 cm wide, and 1.9 in / 4.8 cm deep. Each piece is individually carved by hand in Ukraine, so no two are identical.
Who is Apollo and what does he represent in Greek mythology?
Apollo is one of the twelve Olympians — the Greek god of the sun, light, music, poetry, prophecy, healing, and truth. He is the twin brother of Artemis and son of Zeus and Leto. His oracle at Delphi was the most consulted in the ancient world, and the maxim "know thyself" was inscribed at his temple. He represents the principle that excellence in art, thought, and action is itself a form of devotion — and that truth, however uncomfortable, is always preferable to comfortable illusion.
How do I use an Apollo statue on my altar?
Place the Apollo statue on an altar dedicated to creativity, music, healing, or solar energy. Pair with gold or yellow candles, bay laurel leaves (sacred to Apollo), and offerings of honey, wine, or music played in his honour. Invoke him for creative work, divination, healing practices, and the pursuit of excellence in any craft. He is particularly honoured at the summer solstice (Litha) and at dawn, when his solar aspect is strongest.
