In the oldest groves of the Celtic world, before temples were built of stone, the Horned God was already there — seated among the roots, crowned with antlers, holding the serpent of eternal return. This hand-carved Cernunnos wooden statue brings that primal presence into your home: the Lord of the Forest, protector of wild animals, and sovereign of the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. Carved from premium ash wood with a varnish finish, it is a commanding altar piece for Druids, Wiccan practitioners, Celtic polytheists, and all who honour the untamed forces of nature.

Each piece is individually crafted — no two are identical. The high-relief sculpture depicts Cernunnos seated in a cross-legged meditative posture upon a throne of ancient forest roots and Celtic scroll spirals. Majestic stag antlers rise from his brow, framing a bearded, focused expression. In his hands he holds a horned serpent — symbol of primal energy and seasonal rebirth. His shoulders and back are adorned with deeply chiselled oak leaves and acorns, completing the sacred grove aesthetic. The finish blends forest-brown and charcoal wood shading with hand-painted bronze, gold, and olive-green highlights on the antlers, torque jewellery, and surrounding foliage — creating exceptional dimensional depth that reveals new detail with every viewing.

Cernunnos in Celtic Mythology

  • Lord of the Forest: Cernunnos is one of the oldest and most widely attested Celtic deities, depicted on the Gundestrup Cauldron and across Gallo-Roman reliefs as the sovereign of wild places.
  • Stag Antlers: His crown of antlers marks him as master of the animal kingdom — a symbol of virility, seasonal renewal, and the bridge between the human and natural worlds.
  • The Horned Serpent: The ram-headed serpent he holds represents chthonic wisdom, fertility, and the cyclical nature of existence — death feeding life in an endless spiral.
  • Druid Tradition: Revered in Druidic practice as the Green Man archetype, Cernunnos embodies the untamed masculine principle and the generative power of the earth.
  • Wiccan Horned God: In Wicca, Cernunnos is often identified with the Horned God — the consort of the Goddess, ruler of the hunt, and lord of the underworld and rebirth.

Ideal For
