• Name & Origin: Hecate is one of the most ancient and powerful goddesses in the Greek pantheon — a Titaness predating the Olympians, honoured as the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, the moon, ghosts, and crossroads.
• Appearance: Depicted as a triple goddess — three forms facing three directions — holding torches, a key, a rope, and a dagger. She is accompanied by dogs and appears at crossroads, thresholds, and graveyards where the veil between worlds is thinnest.
• Role & Power: Goddess of magic, witchcraft, necromancy, and liminal spaces. She holds the keys to the underworld and guides souls between realms, making her one of the most revered deities in Wicca, modern paganism, and Western occultism.
• Legends: She assisted Demeter in searching for Persephone with her torches, and stood at the gates of the underworld as a guide and guardian — a figure of immense compassion and terrifying power in equal measure.
