Lilith does not ask for permission. This hand-carved ash wood statue depicts her in full sovereignty — winged, rooted, and unapologetic. One of the most ancient and misunderstood figures in mythology, Lilith's story stretches from Sumerian tradition through Hebrew scripture and into modern occult practice, always carrying the same essential quality: the refusal to submit to a role that diminishes her. Each piece is individually carved and finished with varnish by skilled artisans in Ukraine. Dimensions: 8 in / 20.3 cm tall, 6.5 in / 16.5 cm wide, 1.5 in / 3.8 cm deep.
Lilith — First Woman, Night Goddess, Queen of Independence
In the oldest Sumerian texts, Lilith appears as a wind spirit — wild, untameable, associated with storms and the night. In later Hebrew tradition she becomes the first woman, created from the same earth as Adam, who refuses to be subordinate and leaves Eden of her own will. She is demonised for that refusal, which is precisely why she has endured as a symbol. Every tradition that tried to make her a warning ended up making her an icon instead.
She is associated with the night, with owls, with serpents, with the full expression of feminine power outside the boundaries of what is socially acceptable. In modern practice she is invoked for independence, self-sovereignty, shadow work, and the reclamation of power that has been suppressed or denied. She belongs in the company of goddesses who ask nothing of you except that you be honest about who you are.
