Sкаdі is a frosty giantess, the patroness of hunting. Her attributes are a bow and skis. She was probably originally a fertility gоddеss in her winter form. Sкаdі represents winter and ice, she is the wife of Njord.

During the Vікіng Age, Sкаdі was widely worshiped. Modern women often turn to the Sкаdі image, and this is not surprising. She is perhaps the most feminist of all the Sскаndіnаvіаn gоddеssеs.
